Former organ scholar moves to York Minster
Jeremy Lloyd, who has been Organ Scholar at Peterborough Cathedral for two years, has left to take up the post of Assisting Organist at York Minster. Speaking of his time at Peterborough he said:
“It has been the perfect start to my career as a cathedral musician. I am fortunate to have been part of a supportive team and I have gained a real insight into the daily workings of a cathedral music department.
“One of the highlights for me was my continuo playing in Handel’s Messiah last Christmas – I hadn’t done anything on that scale before. I will also remember vividly my Confirmation at the last Easter Vigil.”
We wish Jeremy all the best for his time in York.
