Normal visiting hours
You are welcome to explore the Cathedral by yourself or book a tour with one of our trained guides to find out more about this history of this wonderful place. Normal visiting hours are:
All are welcome to attend services outside of these times, or to sit quietly whilst the service takes place.
On Saturday 10th September from 11:30am to 1:30pm the Cathedral will be closed to normal visitors due to a wedding.
On Thursday 15th September from 12:30pm to 2:00pm the Cathedral will be closed to normal visitors due to a funeral.
On Friday 16th September from 1:30pm to 4:30pm the Cathedral will be closed to normal visitors due to a special event.
On Saturday 24th September from 10:30am to 2:00pm the Cathedral will be closed to normal visitors due to a special service.
Photography and filming
Anyone wishing to film or take photographs inside the Cathedral during their visit, for their own use, is asked to purchase a camera permit for £3.00.
Anyone wishing to film or take photographs for other reasons (including student projects, wedding photography, images to promote organisations and businesses, or images for public broadcast) is asked to read our Photography, Video and Filming Policy before their visit.
Making a donation
We are always grateful for any financial gift, no matter how large or small. Your support is greatly appreciated and goes a long way in helping us. If you are unable to make a donation during your visit but would still like to do so, there are three ways:
